The Thousand Years
The Thousand Years
I was a tree and I lived one thousand years before they
Killed me.
Remembering the pain of severance was like a spinning
Saw cutting my trunk.
Scared by the Coca leaf which entered my trunk aged
500 years
I could have lived to two thousand if the
World would last that long.
My name was Oakenlurve a leader of the
Forest.
My memories circular in form etched into the trunk
My body.
The saw cut me off in my optimal prime before
My time.
It is a sad sign this demise, use my memories wisely so that
Saplings are not sapped.
All is not all without treemories a word from the forest
Bedownlyup.
